AceShowbiz - Gwen Stefani, the 54-year-old powerhouse behind hits like "Hollaback Girl," announced via Instagram Stories on August 10 that she has sustained an injury. "As a result of a recent injury and in consultation with my doctors, I've been advised that I'm not able to perform on August 17 at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City," she wrote.
The No Doubt frontwoman, who is also a judge on NBC's "The Voice", did not divulge specific details about her injury, but she expressed regret over the development. "I'm so sorry and we are planning to reschedule the show as soon as possible," Stefani continued.
She assured fans that Ticketmaster would email ticket holders once the new date is announced and that current tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled show.
Despite this hiccup, Stefani's website confirms that she is still slated to perform at other events later this year. She is scheduled to grace the stage at the iHeart Radio Music Festival on September 20 in Las Vegas, followed by performances at the South Star Music Festival in Huntsville, Alabama on September 28, and Live Out Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico on October 12.
This announcement comes shortly after Stefani dropped a new collaboration song titled "Hello World" with Ryan Tedder and Anderson .Paak for the Olympic Games. According to a press release, the song aims at "inspiring everyday greatness among athletes and fans around the world."
In a statement to PEOPLE, Stefani expressed her excitement, "We are thrilled to officially launch 'Hello World' for Paris 2024 in partnership with the Coca-Cola Company and the International Olympic Committee (IOC). We hope 'Hello World' inspires positivity as the world comes together to celebrate the Olympic Games."
In other exciting news, Stefani's family life has been buzzing. Her 15-year-old son, Zuma Rossdale, recently debuted as a country singer alongside his stepfather, Blake Shelton, at Shelton's Ole Red Bar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Stefani shares Zuma, as well as sons Kingston, 18, and Apollo, 10, with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. Shelton, known for his close bond with Stefani's children, has often spoken about the positive impact of being a stepfather. "I can't imagine my life without these kids now," he told KFROG listeners in 2021.
Fans eagerly await more updates on Gwen Stefani's rescheduled concert and cheer for her speedy recovery. In the meantime, they can catch her on the upcoming season of "The Voice," which returns to NBC on September 23.
