AceShowbiz - Marc Anthony suffers a personal tragedy. On Thursday, August 8, the musician's house in Dominican Republic was engulfed in a massive fire as it was caught on local news cameras.
A video from Latin American news outlet "El Gordo y La Flaca" saw big orange flames and clouds of dark smoke surrounding the 10,000-square-foot property. Another video, meanwhile, featured firefighters trying to put out the fire that ended successful.
It was said that the left side of the home, which had bungalows for guests, was reportedly the part that burst into flames. It's unknown what caused the fire while the main house of the state, fortunately, remains intact.
Thankfully, Marc and his family were not at the Casa de Campo Resort villa during the fire. No one, including staff personnel, was harmed in the incident, according to Marc's representative.
The fire incident came after Marc and his wife Nadia Ferreira celebrated their son Marco's first birthday on June 12. Nadia took to Instagram to share a heartwarming message honoring the special occasion.
"Today marks one year since you came into the world, to teach me so many things... one of them being the greatest love that exists... being your mother, my son," she wrote in both English and Spanish.
"There's no way to explain the infinite love I feel for you and the excitement of watching you grow and teaching you new things every day. Happy birthday to the greatest blessing of my life. My beloved Marco!"
In addition to Marco, Marc is also a father to six other children from previous relationships, Arianna, 30, and Chase, 28, with ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado; Cristian, 23, and Ryan, 20, with ex-wife Dayanara Torres; and twins Emme and Maximillian, 16, with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.
