AceShowbiz - Katy Perry is among celebrities who celebrate Independence Day. On Thursday, July 4, the "Firework" hitmaker took to her Instagram account to share a sizzling photo of her celebrating the Fourth of July.
Showing American spirit, Katy could be seen slipping into a revealing outfit that consisted of a bedazzled red, white and blue bathing suit top. She paired the look with denim pants and red bandana.
The photo also featured the fiancee of Orlando Bloom recreating Rosie the Riveter's iconic "We Can Do It!" poster pose. "BB UR A FIREWORK," so the mom of one wrote in the caption. "And speaking of work, WOMAN'S WORLD IS GOING TO WORK IN ONE WEEK HAPPY 4TH."
Katy was referencing her upcoming single "Woman's World", which is set to be released on July 11. Last month, the former "American Idol" judge teased lyrics of her forthcoming song while attending Paris Fashion Week. She put the lyrics on the 500-ft train of her red velvet Balenciaga dress.
It was quite hard to make out the words on the long train, but fans believed that it read, "She's a winner, champion/ Superhuman, Number One/ She's a sister, she's mother." Further setting the stage for what promises to be an empowering anthem, another line read, "Open your eyes, just look around and you'll discover/ You know/ It's a woman's world and you're lucky to be living in it."
"Woman's World" marks Katy's return to the music scene since her 2020 album, "Smile". In addition to using the headlines-making train dress, Katy treated fans to a sneak peek of the electro-pop, self-empowering single through a 15-second TikTok clip.
For the new single, Katy reunited with hitmakers Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Stargate, who previously collaborated on her iconic albums "Teenage Dream" and "Prism". A Capitol Records source told Rolling Stone, "Katy knew exactly the album she wanted to make and put together the team to make it happen."
