AceShowbiz - Billy Ray Cyrus is reportedly determined to "put all the drama in the past" regarding his divorce from Firerose. A source close to the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer said that he's "trying to move on" and has a strong support system.
However, the divorce proceedings have been marked by back-and-forth allegations. Cyrus initially filed for divorce in May, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct. He also requested an annulment based on fraud.
Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges, responded by denying the allegations and accused Cyrus of inappropriate behavior, claiming she felt unsafe living with him. She also alleged that Cyrus filed for divorce just one day before she was scheduled to undergo a preventative double mastectomy.
Cyrus has since accused Firerose of physical, verbal, and emotional abuse, while Firerose has expanded on her allegations, stating that Cyrus isolated her from her loved ones and controlled her communications.
In a recent interview with Page Six, Firerose claimed that Cyrus had "strict rules" during their relationship, prohibiting her from leaving the farm or communicating with anyone outside of her AA sponsor. She also alleged that Cyrus would rage at her, call her derogatory names, and give her the silent treatment.
Cyrus has not directly addressed Firerose's latest allegations, but he posted a cryptic message on Instagram, stating that the truth will eventually come out.
The divorce proceedings are ongoing, and both sides have filed motions seeking temporary restraining orders and other legal measures. It remains to be seen how the allegations will play out in court and whether the two can come to a resolution.
