AceShowbiz - Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good attended the Frederick Douglass Awards two months after his sentencing for domestic violence. They posed together at the event, where Good was honored for her philanthropy and performance in Prime Video's comedy series "Harlem".
On the red carpet, the couple revealed their approach to relationship maintenance. "Presence," Majors told PEOPLE, emphasizing the importance of being fully engaged in each moment. Good echoed his sentiments, adding, "Life is ever-changing, so we must be present and embrace it." She also shared her belief in staying positive and finding joy regardless of circumstances.
Majors stressed the significance of learning and growth. He noted that they are celebrating loved ones' birthdays and visiting Good's father in Hawaii this summer.
The couple's relationship became public in May 2023, and they made their red carpet debut in March 2024. Good stood by Majors during his trial, where he was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment. He was sentenced to one year of an in-person batterers intervention program.
The Frederick Douglass Awards Gala raised funds for the Urban League's mission to empower marginalized communities through education, economic self-reliance and civil rights activism.
