The 'John Mulaney Presents: Everybody's in L.A.' star has expressed his openness to various entertainment opportunities, including more talk shows and the possibility of hosting the Oscars.

AceShowbiz - John Mulaney talks about whether he's interested in hosting Oscars. The comedian recently hosted six live shows for Netflix's "John Mulaney Presents: Everybody's in LA," a kooky talk show where he explored various Los Angeles-specific curiosities and interests, such as earthquakes, the paranormal, and coyotes.

"I'm very open to whatever," Mulaney said. "I personally have an affinity for something lower key, like the Spirit Awards or Governor's Awards. They're more relaxed and casual."

Mulaney has hosted the Film Independent Spirit Awards with Nick Kroll in the past but has never hosted the Oscars. He did, however, host the Academy's Governor's Awards earlier this year and said he enjoyed the experience.

In addition to his talk show aspirations, Mulaney is also interested in expanding his variety programming. He expressed admiration for Chris Rock's 1997 HBO series and drew inspiration from it for "Everybody's in L.A."

"I'm not sure if more 'Everybody's in L.A.' is on the horizon, but I liked the puzzle aspect of putting a show together," Mulaney said. "I'm very into instinct and what's happening in the moment."

Mulaney has also been a vocal admirer of former O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark, who appeared on "Everybody's in L.A." He praised her legal work and writing, noting that he would "talk to her about anything."

"The O.J. Simpson trial was just an all-consuming experience for me as a kid, and I could talk about it for hours and hours," Mulaney said. "Beyond that, the legal work she does now pro bono is really cool."
