Reflecting on his behavior, Radke admitted that viewers "can clearly see [him] struggling to communicate [his] feelings." Despite blaming Hubbard during their arguments, he admitted, "That's not on her. That's on me. I'm seeing myself blame and play victim, and I don't want to be either." As their relationship deteriorated, Radke ended their engagement on camera, adding to the tension of their televised breakup.
Hubbard, blindsided by the breakup, expressed her relief in an interview. "I'm not proud of how I was handling the situation and how I was treating her," she stated. Radke lamented that viewers observed him being frustrated and failing to communicate his feelings effectively. She shared how she spaced out watching the episodes to avoid consistent anxiety and noted her realization of ignored red flags in their relationship. "I really truly feel thankful that the universe, or God, or whatever higher being you believe in, stepped in and saved me from a really long, hard, rough life ahead," she said.
In the season finale, viewers witnessed a heated exchange where Radke cited Hubbard's discouragement and questioning of his career goals as elements contributing to their split. "We continue to trigger each other and I don't want to live like that," he declared. The conversation highlighted lingering tensions and grievances. Appearing on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen, Radke emphasized his regrets, especially about communication.
