AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez is leaning on her best friend Leah Remini amid marital woes with Ben Affleck. According to a new report, the "Atlas" actress and the "Cheers" alum have reconciled following their falling out in 2022.
A source tells Page Six that the longtime friends had a fight as Leah was against Lopez's marriage to Ben. The "Kevin Can Wait" star allegedly warned the "Jennifer on the Block" hitmaker to remember the reason she originally broke up with the "Gone Girl" star.
The source notes, "Because he is selfish and is not fully committed as a partner." The informant adds, "J.Lo was so mad, she cut off all ties," with Lopez not inviting Remini to their wedding in Georgia.
The source says that Remini has been wanting to reconnect with her former best friend. "They were friends for years. She wants to reach out to her, but she can't just call up and say, 'I told you so.' " Remini allegedly reached out to Lopez to offer support.
It has been reported that Lopez and Affleck are facing issues in their marriage. The two, who allegedly are living separately, were recently seen holding hands after attending Ben's daughter Violet's high school graduation celebration in Los Angeles.
While the gesture itself displayed a semblance of unity, the couple still looked tense. They reportedly left in separate cars with J.Lo heading back to Beverly Hills and Affleck returning to Brentwood. The couple has yet to publicly comment on their marital status, but their recent actions, including Ben appearing without his wedding ring and Jennifer house hunting solo, appeared to suggest that there is trouble in paradise.
Back in September 2023, Remini's Michelle Visage was asked if the "King of Queens" star and the multihypenate star were still friends during her appearance on "Las Culturistas" podcast. Visage, however, refused to elaborate, saying, "No comment."
