AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion broke down in tears after letting her fans, famously known as Hotties, down. After she was forced to postpone her "Hot Girl Summer Tour" stop in Atlanta, Georgia, the "Girls in the Hood" raptress revealed that she was "cryinggg" in her hotel.
On Friday, May 31, the 28-year-old hip-hop artist shared what she had been doing after breaking the disappointing news to her devotees. Making use of X, formerly known as Twitter, she penned, "no bc yall im in my hotel cryinggg."
On the reason why, the Grammy Award winner said, "lol I hate letting the hotties down but it was NOT IN MY CONTROL," adding a crying face emoji. She went on to ask, "Where we going tonight!!!"
Megan was replying to a tweet that read, "MEGAN WHAT CLUB WE MEETING AT?! BECAUSE WE ALREADY DRESSED SIS ATLANTA OPEN ALL NIGHT." The tweet also featured a video documenting two of her fans showing off their stylish ensembles for the concert.
Earlier that day, Megan teased that she will reveal good news at her show at State Farm Arena In Atlanta. In a previous tweet, she spilled, "Special Announcement at the #hotgirlsummertour tonight," leaving Hotties excited for the gig.
However, hours later, the "Hiss" rapper informed that she was forced to postpone the show. On the same social media platform, she issued a statement that read, "Unfortunately, we will need to reschedule tonight's show at State Farm Arena due to the massive water main break that The City of Atlanta is experiencing."
Megan further explained, "I'm extremely disappointed because I had a huge surprise for the Hotties tonight, but we will follow the Mayor's protocol." She additionally unveiled the new date, "Tonight's show is rescheduled for THIS SUNDAY June 2nd,2024," adding, "We will still move forward with tomorrows show. Praying for the people who lost access to water due to this situation. Look forward to seeing my Atlanta Hotties at the #hotgirlsummertour."
On Friday morning around 8:30 A.M., the break happened "on a 48-inch and 36-inch transmission line near the intersection of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard NW and J.P. Brawley Drive. The break caused a water outage and/or low water pressure throughout the downtown service area," per Atlanta Watershed Management via FOX 5 Atlanta.
As a result, "a boil water advisory is in effect and a citywide water outage for metro Atlanta after three large water main breaks forced the closure of several government offices and businesses in the downtown area."
