AceShowbiz - Lenny Kravitz, the timeless rock icon, is stepping into a new phase of his illustrious career with the release of his new album "Blue Electric Light" and an exciting residency in Las Vegas. As he embarks on this new journey, Kravitz opens up about both his personal and professional evolutions.
Lenny Kravitz, 60, has recently launched his twelfth studio album "Blue Electric Light" and is set to kick off a five-day residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas this October. He describes the residency as a "celebration of life, music, love, of rock 'n' roll." To mark the release, Kravitz will also be headlining the UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show at Wembley Stadium in London, turning stadium concerts into electrifying rock events.
For future musical projects, teaming up with his daughter Zoe Kravitz, an accomplished musician herself, is a possibility. "I would love to do anything with my daughter because it's my daughter, and it would have to be an organic creative experience," he revealed in an interview with PEOPLE. Their collaboration promises to be an authentic fusion of their artistic talents.
One undeniable aspect of Kravitz's career is his unwavering dedication to fitness. "I train five days a week, I lift weights, I do cardio, I eat well, I try to rest well when I can," he explains, noting that it's simply a part of his life. Known for his playful sense of humor, he even joked about potentially working out in his iconic leather pants.
Kravitz's introspective new album touches on themes of personal growth and setting boundaries. In a candid interview with CBS's Gayle King, he reflected on the challenges of being a recovering "people pleaser." The song "Human" from his album starts with the poignant line, "When all of my days are done of pleasin' everyone I'll finally have begun." He credits his daughter for teaching him the importance of boundaries. "She's so good at creating her boundaries. And boundaries are healthy, you know?" he shared, highlighting the generational difference in prioritizing self-care.
