AceShowbiz - DaniLeigh is getting stronger after having gone through adversities in her life. Several months after escaping jail sentence in DUI hit-and-run case, the singer has debuted a new ink that showcases her resilience.

On Thursday, May 2, the 29-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to show off the brand new tattoo, which is an image of a broken sword. The ink was etched on the her lower back down to her waist.

In a separate Story, Dani explained the meaning behind the tattoo. "A broken sword tattoo can represent a variety of meanings. It could symbolize a broken heart, the end of a battle, or the acceptance of defeat. Alternatively, it could also signify humility and a reminder to stay grounded," she wrote.

Along with another image, the "Breakfast Can Wait" songstress also revealed the significance of the tattoo to her. "The story of the broken sword Narsil, represents the power of resilience and the ability to rise from adversity," she shared.

Embracing her spirituality, Dani later shared a Bible quote from Romans 5:3-5 that relates to the meaning of her tattoo. "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, character, and hope," it reads. "And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

Dani surely needs some self motivation after her career was put to a halt due to her legal issue. Back in May 2023, she was arrested after allegedly hitting somebody with her car while driving under the influence in Miami Beach, Florida.

She was driving driving a Mercedes-Benz G550, commonly known as a G-Wagen, down Washington Avenue, speeding and weaving in and out of traffic, before hitting a man on a moped car. Dani reportedly continued without slowing down even after multiple people attempted to get the singer's attention to let her know she was "dragging the moped."

When an officer pulled Dani, she insisted that she "never hit" anyone and hadn't consumed any alcohol though the officer noted that her SUV smelled of alcohol and she had "sluggish" motor skills. She then failed field sobriety tests and two breath tests came back at 0.145% and 0.148%, nearly twice the legal limit in Florida.

Dani pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge as well as one count of DUI causing serious injury, which is a felony, while two other associated charges were adjourned in contemplation of dismissal. She was sentenced to five years of probation.
