Baron Cohen and Fisher first met in 2001. They married in Paris in 2010 and have three children.

According to Page Six, Baron Cohen was spotted meeting with celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser late last year. The couple's separation was also rumored at the Oscars last month, where both attended parties separately.

The announcement of their separation comes amidst Baron Cohen's public feud with Rebel Wilson. Wilson claimed in her memoir that Baron Cohen humiliated and pressured her during the filming of "The Brothers Grimsby" in 2016. Baron Cohen has denied these allegations.

Fisher expressed gratitude for her marriage to the comedian. She converted to Judaism, Baron Cohen's religion, before their wedding. Fisher has spoken openly about her enjoyment of being part of the Jewish community.

The couple has kept their relationship and children largely out of the spotlight. Fisher has expressed her desire to protect her children's privacy, wanting them to have a normal childhood.

"I think by Hollywood standards it's probably 200 years," Fisher once said of her long relationship with Baron Cohen. "I feel like it's a Golden Jubilee or something."
