The former 007 depicter, who starred with Taylor-Johnson in 2009's film 'The Greatest', claims that the 33-year-old has the 'chops, talent, and charisma' to play the iconic spy.

AceShowbiz - Pierce Brosnan, who portrayed James Bond in four films from 1995 to 2002, has expressed his support for Aaron Taylor-Johnson (formerly known as Aaron Johnson), as the next 007. Taylor-Johnson, 33, is reportedly in talks to succeed Daniel Craig, who retired from the role after 2021's "No Time to Die".

George Lazenby, who played Bond in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (1969), has also given his approval to Taylor-Johnson's potential casting. Brosnan, 70, praised Taylor-Johnson's "chops, talent, and charisma" for the role. "I would definitely tip my hat to the fellow," he said on RTE Radio 1's "The Ray D'Arcy Show".

The former Bond star worked with Taylor-Johnson in the 2009 film "The Greatest", which Brosnan also produced. He called Taylor-Johnson "the greatest in it" and advised him, "Be bold. Go out there. Have a great time. Just love it. Just go for it."

According to insider sources, Taylor-Johnson has been offered a four-movie deal to play Bond. Producers are reportedly looking to take the franchise into a "fantasy" direction, with more over-the-top action and iconic villains.

Taylor-Johnson has a busy upcoming slate, including "The Fall Guy", "Nosferatu" and "Kraven the Hunter". He is married to director Sam Taylor-Johnson, who has two older daughters from a previous relationship.
