The 80-year-old musician removed her music from the streaming platform in January 2022 after Neil Young did the same thing for the same reason.

AceShowbiz - Joni Mitchell is the latest artist whose music returned to Spotify. More than two years after she said goodbye to the platform for allowing Joe Rogan to spread `"misinformation" about COVID-19, the "Big Yellow Taxi" singer let her music back on.

On Thursday, March 21, fans noticed that the 80-year-old's music reappeared on the streaming platform. The musician, however, has yet to address the return of her music on the platform.

Joni left Spotify in January 2022. "I've decided to remove all my music from Spotify," the Canadian singer/songwriter said in a statement. "Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue."

She was following in the footsteps of Neil Young, who also left Spotify for the same reason. Earlier this month, however, Neil also announced his return.

"Spotify, the #1 streamer of low res music in the world - Spotify, where you get less quality than we made, will now be home of my music again," he declared on March 12 in a post shared on his website. "My decision comes as music services Apple and Amazon have started serving the same disinformation podcast features I had opposed at SPOTIFY."

"I cannot just leave Apple and Amazon, like I did Spotify, because my music would have very little streaming outlet to music lovers at all, so I have returned to Spotify, in sincere hopes that Spotify sound quality will improve and people will be able to hear and feel all the music as we made it," he continued. "Qobuz and Tidal, where my music is presented, are all High res as well."

"I hope all you millions of Spotify users enjoy my songs!" Neil stated. "They will now all be there for you except for the full sound we created."
