The actor and comedian has been a target of online backlash after Drake revealed on the docuseries 'Quiet on Set' that he was the victim of abuse by Brian Peck, who is not related to him.

AceShowbiz - Josh Peck has finally broken his silence on the Nickeledeon abuse scandal. When confirming that he has reached out to Drake Bell privately, the comedian also showed support to other abuse survivors.

"I finished the 'Quiet on Set' documentary and took a few days to process it," the 37-year-old penned in a statement shared on Instagram on Thursday, March 21. "I reached out to Drake privately, but want to give my support for the survivors who were brave enough to share their stories of emotional and physical abuse on Nickelodeon sets with the world."

"Children should be protected," he continued. "Reliving this publicly is incredibly difficult, but I hope it can bring healing for the victims and their families as well as necessary change to our industry."

Josh has been a target of online backlash after Drake revealed on the docuseries "Quiet on Set" that he was the victim of abuse by Brian Peck. Josh and Brian, however, are not related.

Thus, Drake told fans to not attack Josh. In a TikTok video, he said, "I just want you guys to know that he has reached out to me and it's been very sensitive. But he has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this. And has been really, really great. So just wanted to let you guys know that and to take it a little easy on it."

Brian was arrested in 2003 on charges including sodomy and lewd acts upon a child. The minor involved in the case was not identified at the time, but Bell has now revealed that he was the victim.

Nickelodeon has issued a statement condemning the abuse and expressing support for Bell. "Now that Drake Bell has disclosed his identity as the plaintiff in the 2004 case, we are dismayed and saddened to learn of the trauma he has endured, and we commend and support the strength required to come forward," the statement read.
