According to a new report, FX has quietly renewed the Emmy-winning dark comedy for a fourth season, though the network has declined to comment on the report.

AceShowbiz - FX is cooking something up with its hit series "The Bear". According to a new report, the network has quietly renewed the Emmy-winning dark comedy for a fourth season amid its season 3 production.

Sources told Deadline that the hit series, which stars Jeremy Allen White, is set to film season 3 and 4 back-to-back in an attempt to keep the show on its annual release target. FX, however, declined to comment on the report.

While it's exciting to find out that the show has been renewed for another season, the move raised concern with speculations that season 4 might be its final chapter. Prior to this, "Atlanta", FX's another comedy series, concluded its story after shooting seasons 3 and 4 back to back.

However, nothing is certain as of yet. The reason why season 3 and 4 are filmed back-to-back is probably because the production team has to talent schedules as cast members Jeremy and Ayo Edebiri receive tons of projects following their victories during this year's award season.

Season 3 of "The Bear" is reportedly gearing up for a June premiere. The production started last month in Chicago with some Internet users posting some set photos and videos of the single-camera comedy which won 10 Emmys, including for Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Writing, for its first season.

Throughout its 2 seasons, the series has featured a starry lineup of guests, including Jon Bernthal, Olivia Colman, Bob Odenkirk, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah Paulson, John Mulaney, Molly Ringwald and Joel McHale.

In addition to Jeremy and Ayo, the show stars Lionel Boyce, Liza Colon-Zayas, Abby Elliott and Matty Matheson. Meanwhile, Oliver Platt, Molly Gordon and Edwin Lee Gibson are added to the cast in recurring capacity.
