The Dominic Toretto depicter confirms he's still part of the team for the next and last installment of the action film series after being sued by an ex-assistant in late 2023.

AceShowbiz - Vin Diesel is riding until the end with his "Fast & Furious" co-stars. The actor has announced that he is moving forward with the next and last installment of the action film franchise after being sued by an ex-assistant over sexual battery last year.

In a statement issued via his social media page on Friday, February 23, the Dominic Toretto depicter confirmed that the follow-up to "Fast X" would be the "grand finale." He wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of him in character, "Just finished our end of the week Fast meeting with the writers and the whole team... to say the excitement for our finale was incredibly powerful is an understatement. Wow. So exciting..."

The 56-year-old went on expressing his appreciation to fans' support, "While everyone was heading into the weekend amped and excited, I thought of you all... reminded of the countless moments when your enthusiasm and passion became the driving force behind our creative journey. Your commitment to our saga has had a unique impact on its success and evolution... as my youngest daughter would say, it's profound."

"Thank you for being the backbone of this global saga that because of you, transcends the screen. This grand finale is not just an ending; it's a celebration of the incredible family we've built together," he added, before concluding, "Hope to make you proud!"

Diesel's update on the eleventh "Fast and Furious" film was met with excitement by fans. "Always familia I can't wait," one person wrote in the comments section. Another follower reacted, "You are one of a kind thank you for letting us be a part of the Saga. Always been proud of you...love always."

"well said," someone else chimed in. "You all have always made us proud! The best franchise and familia ever. Much love to the cast, producers, writers, crew etc for giving the world something so special and cherished. We all love you. Thank you."

The next installment in the action film series will be directed by Louis Leterrier and is scheduled for release on April 4, 2025. Details are still under wraps, but Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has confirmed his return to the franchise after ending his feud with Diesel.

Meanwhile, Diesel was dragged to court by his former assistant, who accused him of sexual battery, in December 2023. He vehemently denied the allegations through his lawyer Bryan Freedman, who stated, "Let me be very clear, Vin Diesel categorically denies this claim in its entirety. This is the first he has ever heard about this more than 13-year-old claim made by a purportedly 9-day employee. There is clear evidence which completely refutes these outlandish allegations."
