Marieangela King, who is now divorcing Elijah, previously accused the 77-year-old of kidnapping her son from a hotel room while the then-couple was trying to reunite on their wedding anniversary.

AceShowbiz - Cher found herself being called out by her daughter-in-law. The "Believe" singer, who's filed for a conservatorship over son Elijah Blue Allman, was accused of throwing her child into a "locked cage" prior to her filing.

Marieangela King brought up the claims when speaking to Page Six. The 36-year-old singer said that Cher and her family "historically excluded" her from making decisions regarding Elijah's care, including when the music icon allegedly "kidnapped" her son to get him into rehab and placed him in a "locked cage" instead of a "legitimate, ethically operated" facility.

"I have always been a champion for the sober community and for Elijah's sobriety," Marieangela stated. "What I am not ok with are establishments that exclude me (his wife) from being part of Elijah''s treatment and hopeful recovery."

The King member continued, "I am not ok with pop-up, makeshift, unethical scam rehabs which take full advantage of families in desperate situations and seek to fraudulently exploit insurance companies for services not rendered." She also made it clear that she was "not OK" with Elijah "being coerced" in October into "participating in an alternative medicine regimen" that resulted in his being forced to sleep behind "a locked cage with six other individuals."

Not stopping there, Marieangela denied having "enabled" her ex's substance abuse. She also insisted that she has never "suffered from any form of substance abuse, mental health or addiction issues."

Marieangela previously accused Cher of kidnapping Elijah from a hotel room while the then-couple was trying to reunite on their wedding anniversary. "On November 30, 2022, the night of our wedding anniversary, four people came to our hotel room and removed (Elijah) from our room," Marieangela said in her declaration to the court.

"I was told by one of the four men who took him that they were hired by (Elijah's) mother," Marieangela continued. "I am currently unaware of my husband's wellbeing or whereabouts."

Cher, however, has shut down the allegations. "That rumor is not true," she said in an interview with PEOPLE. While she refused to further address the allegations, the singer said the private family matter was related to Elijah's struggles with substance abuse and addiction.
