The 'Last of Us' actor is reportedly in talks to star as Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming reboot, which will be the first 'Fantastic Four' movie set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

AceShowbiz - Pedro Pascal may switch to another superhero universe. Having starred in "Wonder Woman 1984" which is part of DCEU, the actor is now reported to being eyed to star in "Fantastic Four (2025)" reboot.
According to multiple reports, the "Game of Thrones" alum is in talks to play Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming movie. The character is the leader of the team known as Marvel's First Family.
No deal has been sealed just yet as sources note that scheduling is a factor in whether the deal will work out or not. The genre-centric journalist Daniel Richtman first reported the news of Pascal's casting on his Patreon account, before it's picked up by more reliable sites.
Pascal's career took off with his portrayal of Prince Oberyn Martell on "Game of Thrones". He has since starred on "Star Wars" TV series "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett". He is also starring on HBO's post-apocalyptic drama series "The Last of Us" and lands a role in Ridley Scott's "Gladiator 2".
Meanwhile, the role of Mr. Fantastic has long been subject of speculation since the "Fantastic Four" reboot has been in development at Disney after the studio acquired 21st Century Fox in 2017. Richtman previously reported that Adam Driver was the frontrunner for the lead role, but the talks apparently fell through.
Mr. Fantastic was previously portrayed by Ioan Gruffudd in "Fantastic Four" (2005) and its sequel "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" (2007), and Miles Teller in the 2015 tanked reboot, "The Fantastic Four".
The upcoming movie, meanwhile, will be the first "Fantastic Four" movie set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Mr. Fantastic has actually appeared in MCU with John Krasinski making a cameo as an alternate universe version of Reed Richards in 2022's "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" before he's ripped to shreds by Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).
The "Fantastic Four" reboot is scheduled to arrive on May 2, 2025. "WandaVision" director Matt Shakman will helm the movie after Jon Watts left the project in 2022.
