AceShowbiz - Prince (II) has responded to backlash over his recent claim. Having caused an uproar by saying he had "smashed" Lori Harvey, the former "Love & Hip-Hop: Miami" star took to social media to defend himself.

For the record, the 34-year-old brought up the claim when appearing on the "We in Miami" podcast. "I'm probably gonna get some s–t for this but Lori Harvey," he boasted. "It wasn't like a smash though, like it was like I was really you know I was really like f**king with her. She was really f**king with me."

"She would Uber to my place on the beach and come out to stay with me some nights," the TV personality recalled before declaring that their fling was "phenomenal." He added, "This is before she got like thin, I was f**king with thick Lori... She wasn't thin like she is now. I prefer the old Lori, honestly."

Prince's revelation dragged him into hot water considering that Lori is now in a relationship with actor Damson Idris. "Clout chasing. No more Zeus episodes n the fame dimming," one person opined, while another commented, "Men talk more than women these days."

Catching wind of the backlash, Prince wrote on Instagram, "Damn I can't talk about MY life & MY experiences in a tasteful manner ? I was respectful sheesh." In a longer statement, he argued, "Lol y'all eating me tf up huh…Whilst I can appreciate & understand everyone's view on the podcast , I disagree."

"I understand the manner in which the question came off distasteful & I tried to answer in a manner that would still be funny , & salacious but still respectful , clearly I failed, although I stated certain things to paint a clearer picture," he added. "this is MY life , MY story , MY truth."

"I would never get on any public platform & just LIE or talk about a sexcapade," the reality star continued. "But whether it was public knowledge or not , I had a relationship with this person regardless if you consider it one or not . & I feel like I can speak on my past relationships."
