The 'Believe' singer gets candid about her relationship with Alexander 'A.E.' Edwards, admitting he is sometimes clueless about what she is talking about because of their age difference.

AceShowbiz - Cher doesn't like talking about how happy she is in her relationship. The 77-year-old pop icon confirmed her relationship with singer Alexander "A.E." Edwards, 37, in November 2022 and has admitted that while they have a "great" time together, there are times that he has "no idea" what she is talking about because of their 40-year age gap.
"I hate to talk about how happy I am, but no, we have a great time together. We can talk music. We can talk about everything. He's a got a great sense of humor, he's got the cutest son in the world, ever… We just get each other," she told Extra.
"Sometimes I'm talking to him and he has no idea who I'm talking about. The other day, I said, 'Do you know who, I don't know, [1940s Hollywood star] Clark Gable, [is]?' Somebody said, 'Yes, of course,' but most of my references… He'll look at me and go, 'I wasn't born yet.' "
Earlier this year, the "Believe" hitmaker - who has son Chaz, 54, with first husband Sonny Bono and Elijah, 47, with second husband Gregg Allman - sparked rumours that she and Alexander were set to tie the knot when she was spotted sporting a large diamond ring but she later admitted that it was simply a Christmas gift that she likes to wear.
She said, "Because I've done it. I'm really happy with Alexander. [Flashes a very large diamond ring.] He gave me that last Christmas. He just wanted to give it to me. Usually I wear it on my right hand because he said, 'It's the right ring for the right woman on the right hand.' "
