AceShowbiz - Chase Chrisley and his fiancee have called off their romantic relationship. Nine months after getting engaged to Emmy Medders, the son of Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley announced their break-up on social media.
The 27-year-old broke the shocking news via Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 25. Over a black screen, he wrote, "Everybody has been asking a lot of questions regarding Emmy and myself. We both and agreed to parts ways and move on with our lives separately." He went on to add, "Thank you for respecting our privacy."
Chase's representative, Adam Ambrose, additionally confirmed the separation. In a statement to PEOPLE, Adam said, "The couple has decided to go their separate ways. Chase has nothing but love and respect for Emmy and wishes her well. Unfortunately things didn't work and they are both moving on with their lives."
Chase announced his engagement to Emmy less than a year earlier. In his now-deleted Instagram post that was originally shared in October 2022, the former "Chrisley Knows Best" star exclaimed, "I am the luckiest man in the world, being able to call you mine forever is a blessing straight from God."
"You are the sunshine when it's dark, you are the rain when it's dry," he further showered Emmy with praises. "I love you more than life itself and can't wait to live forever with you! To you my love! Thank you for taking me FOREVER!! @emmymedders."
That same month, Chase recalled proposing to Emmy at First Horizon Baseball Stadium in Tennessee. "It was the perfect night... There's no doubt I want to spend the rest of my life with Emmy. We can't wait to build a family together," he revealed to PEOPLE.
Renting the stadium, Chase prepared 175,000 rose petals to be shaped into a heart on the field. About Chase's proposal, Emmy claimed, "I was so surprised... I had no idea it was happening." She added, "My dad is sick with ALS, so it was very special moment that he could travel to Nashville and be on the field."
Chase and Emmy began their romantic relationship back in 2020. Around one year into their romance, the two unfortunately underwent a major break-up. Still, the twosome confirmed in April 2022 that they have gotten back together.
