AceShowbiz - Philip Rivers' large brood of children continues to expand. The former NFL star, who already shares nine kids with his wife Tiffany, revealed that they're currently expecting their tenth baby together.

The 41-year-old broke the happy news in an interview with Al. "We've had one pretty much every two years, and now this is the longest gap," he told the outlet at a 7-on-7 event in Daphne. "We are all fired up. Everyone was pulling for a boy. Even our girls wanted a boy."

Philip, who has seven daughters and two sons, divulged that he and his spouse are indeed expecting a baby boy. The latest addition to their family is expected to be born sometime in the fall.

Noting that his parents come from a family of nine children, the former quarterback added, "We thought we would be the third generation of nine, but we decided to go double-digits." He then corrected himself, "Or I should say we didn't decide it. God decided."

When asked whether he and Tiffany picked a name for the unborn baby, Philip said, "We are still kind of figuring that out." He then stated, "We have plenty of opinions... That is what we've got right now."

Philip announced his retirement from the NFL back in 2021. In a statement shared by his last team the Indianapolis Colts, he declared, "Every year, January 20th is a special and emotional day. It is St. Sebastian's Feast day, the day I played in the AFC championship without an ACL."

"And now the day that after 17 seasons, I'm announcing my retirement from the National Football League," he added. "Thank you, God, for allowing me to live out my childhood dream of playing quarterback in the NFL."

"I am grateful to the Chargers for 16 seasons and the Colts for the 17th season," the athlete further stated. "Thank you to all my coaches that helped me grow as a player and person."
