AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z aren't letting go one house to get another. The power couple are reportedly holding on to their $100 million Bel-Air mansion despite spending $200 million to buy the most expensive house in California.

A source told TMZ that the pair will make the new Malibu pad their weekend home for the time being. Meanwhile, the Bel-Air home, which the pop star and the rap mogul purchased for $88 million back in 2017, is still "home" as is close to the kids' schools and friends.

The report further stated that the Carters do plan to move to the new Malibu estate full-time eventually. However, it's unknown when they will relocate or if that means the pair will be putting the Bel-Air mansion on sale.

Bey and Hov made headlines over the weekend after they set a new record with their recent real-estate purchase. The married couple allegedly spent the hefty sum to buy the 30,000-square-foot mansion in Malibu's greatest neighborhood. It is situated on an 8-acre cliff viewing the Pacific Ocean in the Paradise Cove neighborhood, which is known as Billionaires' Row.

Breaking the prior record of $177 million, their jaw-dropping spending on the house also became the second most expensive residential property transaction in the country since the highest price for a Manhattan, New York City flat was at $238 million price. The twosome would have got the country record as well if they bought the house within its original price for $295 million.

The parents of three apparently celebrated their historic purchase with a pricey dinner in London on Friday night, May 19. The couple was photographed exiting Harry's Bar in Mayfair after grabbing a bite to eat. It was said that they dined on a "delectable souffle" with billionaire entrepreneur Nassef Sawiris.

For the outing, the "Renaissance" artist wore a black mini-dress and jacket that was adorned with sparkly jewels. The Grammy winner paired it with a matching bag, heels and a pair of sunglasses. As for Jay-Z, the 53-year-old opted for an all-black ensemble with white sneakers.
