The 'Make Me Want To' singer blames the show business for tempting him as he admits to affair, but makes no mention of the lawsuit for sexual assault and rape by an ex-manager.

AceShowbiz - Jimmie Allen feels guilty to his estranged wife after his former manager sued him of assault and sexual abuse. The country music star has issued a public apology to Alexis Gale, who is divorcing him, for the embarrassment he caused with his "affair."

"I want to publicly apologize to my wife, Alexis, for humiliating her with my affair," Jimmie wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday, May 18. "I'm embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That's something she did not deserve at all."

"I also want to apologize to my children for being a poor example of a man and a father," the Grammy-nominated artist added, before promising, "I'm working on becoming a better person that my kids can be proud of. My goal is to be better than the generation before me."

Jimmie blamed the show industry for tempting him, claiming, "The business takes so much from you. It's full of temptation that can cripple you and ruin everything you've built. I'm ashamed that I wasn't strong enough to withstand them. I will no longer be a victim of my weakness."

While he admitted to infidelity, the 37-year-old made no mention of the rape and sexual abuse allegations in his statement. "I challenge everyone to seek help when they need it. Do not be afraid of your weakness, surround yourself with people that will help you. Be blessed," he concluded his statement, without any caption to the post. He also turned off the comments.

One day before posting the public apology, Jimmie returned to Instagram after the allegations by posting on his Story. "We Gonna Be Alright," he declared with a praying hand and a fist emoji. "This Too Shall Pass."

Jimmie Allen's IG Story

Jimmie Allen broke social media silence by posting on his Instagram Story after rape allegations.

Jimmie announced his split from Alexis on April 21, weeks before the sexual assault allegations. At the time, he also revealed that Alexis is pregnant with their third child together. The estranged pair share daughters Zara James, 19 months, and Naomi Bettie, 3. He is also father to son Aadyn from a previous relationship.

Just weeks later, a woman who used to be one of his managers sued him of assault and sexual abuse. The woman, who identifies as Jane Doe, claims he "raped her and repeatedly subjected her to sexual abuse and harassment over a period of 18 months." One of the incidents include the time when they were heading to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in May 2021.

Jimmie quickly shut down the "deeply troubling and hurtful" accusations. He insisted that it was consensual, saying, "I acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship - one that lasted for nearly two years. During that time, she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely."

"Only after things ended between us, did she hire a lawyer to reach out and ask for money, which leads me to question her motives. The simple fact is, her accusations are not only false, but also extremely damaging," he added.

Jane Doe's attorney disputed Jimmie's claims though. "The only ask we made of Allen and his legal counsel was to meet to discuss Allen's behavior and resolution of our client's claims. At no time did our client make a monetary demand. The response was a hard no, and colored with threats that his team would take steps to publicly tarnish my client. My client had no choice but to be proactive in protecting herself by filing the complaint," the lawyer said.
