The 'Awwsome' hitmaker slams allegations that he pulled out a weapon and made a threat to his girlfriend during an altercation that led to his arrest on Saturday, May 13.

AceShowbiz - Shy Glizzy is taking matters into his own hands to deny recent allegations against him. After he was arrested over the weekend following an incident involving his girlfriend, he denied that he ever pulled a gun on her.

The rapper broke his silence on his latest run-in the law via Instagram Story. He posted on Tuesday, May 16, "The accusations made against me are completely false." He insisted, "I would never in my life pull a weapon out to harm a female in any way so stop with the BS allegations! What is wrong with ppl?"

Video surfaced on Sunday showing Shy and his manager being detained at gunpoint by police in Sherman Oaks, California. In the viral clip, a man was seen raising his two hands while standing behind a car. Another man was seen lying face down next to the car on what looks like the parking lot, while police officers surrounded them. Some of the cops were seen carrying guns as they gave instructions from afar.

TMZ later reported that the arrest stemmed from a verbal altercation between the Southwest rapper and his on-and-off girlfriend which escalated to the point where he grabbed a firearm and made a threat. It reportedly occurred on a public street around 9 A.M. on Saturday and he took off after the argument.

West Hollywood Sheriff's Deputies somehow got involved and a criminal report was made. Shy was eventually tracked down by 6 P.M. that day and arrested on a felony charge of making criminal threats.

Police reportedly did not find a gun on Shy when he was arrested and he denied ever threatening his girlfriend, whom he has reportedly been dating on and off for 4 months. Records show he was released after about 4 hours behind bars on a $50,000 bond, while the case remains under investigation.

The girlfriend, whose identity has not been made public, has since filed documents asking for a restraining order against Shy.
