AceShowbiz - Chris Brown has broken his silence after footage emerged of his alleged altercation at the Lovers & Friends Festival on Saturday night, May 6 in Las Vegas. Defending himself, the R&B star denied that he got involved in a confrontation and claimed that he actually "intervened" to keep things calm because his child was in the crowd.
"yall been geeked all weekend, y'all dragging it now," he wrote in the comment of an Instagram post. He explained what actually happened, "It was mad people backstage and security was trying to clear everyone off the stage. People started pushing back.. I INTERVENED To let them know MY CHILD WAS BACK THERE. So y'all can keep ya narrative."
In the video, Chris was seen seemingly trying to reach somebody across from him in what looks to be the backstage area of a venue as he said, "I got it. I got it. I got it." Security and several people around Breezy were seen trying to diffuse the situation before things escalated into something physical.
Just one day before, Chris reportedly got into a scuffle with Usher at Chris' birthday party which was thrown by Usher at the Skate Rock City roller rink. The "Beautiful People" singer reportedly was not happy that Usher invited Teyana Taylor to the bash.
Chris and Teyana's issued stemmed from her bailing out on his Michael Jackson tribute performance at the AMAs. When Chris tried to confront her, she reportedly ignored him. He then asked Usher to kick her out of the birthday party, but the "U Remind Me" refused.
Chris then walked out of the party with his crew. Usher then followed Chris to the parking lot. The 44-year-old later emerged "a short time later" from behind a string of charter buses with what appeared to be a bloody nose.
Chris and Usher, however, showed no visible injuries when they performed on separate sets at the Lovers & Friends Festival. Appearing to show that there's no bad blood, Teyana was also seen jamming to Chris' music during Usher's set that night.
