When sharing his side of the story in an interview, the 'Daily Cannon' host also talks about him just wanting to give his six different baby mamas 'what they desired.'

AceShowbiz - Nick Cannon has something to say about his "deadbeat dad" label. Having been plagued with accusations of being an irresponsible guy for fathering twelve children with six women, the host of "The Daily Cannon" weighed in on how it felt being villainized.

The former "America's Got Talent" host addressed the continuous criticisms he got for being a father of twelve when speaking to the Los Angeles Times. In an article published Sunday, May 7, he complained, "I've been villainized. I hear all the time: 'You can't be present for all those children.' So therefore I get this deadbeat dad title."

While he was unable to spend enough time with his children, Nick stressed it did not mean that he did not feel guilty over it. Still, he pointed out, "It's not about what I do for you or what I say to you, it's about how you feel when I'm with you, If you feel loved when you see your dad, that's what's gonna resonate."

The 42-year-old, who claimed to be earning $100 million per year, went on to defend himself by mentioning a number of other celebrities with big families. "I mean, Muhammad Ali had a bunch of kids and he was the greatest fighter there ever was. Bob Marley got more kids than I got. These are great men," he reasoned.

Elsewhere in the interview, Nick also talked about his six different baby mamas. Revealing that some of his baby mamas expressed their anxiety about their biological clocks, he shared, "A lot of them are in the same age group. And I just wanted to give them what they desired. I kept saying, 'I can handle it.' "

The "Drumline" star did not always have a good relationship with the mothers of his children as it appeared. On Thursday, May 4, he seemed to express his frustration over a number of his exes via Twitter. "To all my ex's Thanks for my toxic Origin story! Gladly turning into the Villain all y'all want me to be!!" he sarcastically tweeted.

Nick has twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; Golden, Powerful Queen and Rise with Brittany Bell; twins Zion and Zillion, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole. In December 2022, he welcomed Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott, one year after they lost their son Zen to brain cancer.
