AceShowbiz - The Top 12 contestants in season 21 of "American Idol" returned to the stage in the Sunday, April 30 episode. They performed a rock 'n roll song for America's votes in hopes of being sent to the next round as two singers would be eliminated at the end of the episode.

Up first that night was Tyson Venegas, who performed "For Once in My Life" by Stevie Wonder. The judges, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry, were all impressed as they gave him a standing ovation. "For you to step out of the piano and have all of that comfort working the stage, connecting…it was like you weren't even trying to make the magic happen," Luke praised Tyson. "Great job."

The next performer was Warren Peay, who hit the stage to sing "House of the Rising Sun" for his rock performance. The judges loved it, though Lionel and Luke noted that he started the song a bit too low. "I love your voice. It's like a bottle of grit and you just bring that authenticity," Katy raved.

Haven Madison followed it up with her performance of Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer". Katy and other judges were blown away by the performance with Katy saying, "You're the next big pop star as far as this performance goes." Luke additionally called it her "breakout" performance.

Lucy Love, meanwhile, opted to sing "All Night Long" by Lionel, who was impressed. "You did such a great job. You took my song and made it your song. That's crazy good," Lionel told her. As for Oliver Steele, he performed Ray Charles' "Georgia On My Mind" and he got praises from the judges.

Colin Stough impressed the judges once again after singing "Midnight Rider". Later, Marybeth Byrd performed a rendition of ABBA's "Dancing Queen". Luke commented, "I love how you made that you. You didn't overdo anything, you just made it you, and it was great."

We Ani, meanwhile, sang an Etta James classic, "Something's Got a Hold on Me", and earned a standing ovation from the judges. "That was how you bring nasty to the table," Lionel noted. "That's all I wanted to say. A breakout performance right there."

As for Nutsa, she went with Queen's "The Show Must Go On". Katy loved the performance, telling Nutsa, "You can't change." Megan Danielle was the next singer, performing "Angel From Montgomery" by Bonnie Raitt. The performance got Luke emotional as he said, "What you just did will stand up in any room - any award show I've ever been to, that performance will stand up anywhere."

Zachariah Smith sang "Don't Bring Me Down" by Electric Light Orchestra and Lionel said, "You brought the party to the stage." Later, Iam Tongi rounded out the night with a performance of "Bring It on Home to Me". Katy gushed, "You are magic. You are the one. It's wild. I can't even hear myself."

Host Ryan Seacrest eventually announced that the Top 10 were Warren Peay, We Ani, Iam Tongi, Megan Danielle, Zachariah Smith, Haven Madison, Colin Stough, Oliver Steele, Tyson Venegas and Marybeth Byrd. Nutsa and Lucy Love, who were both saved in last week's episode, were eliminated.
