Lauren Scruggs is pregnant. Announcing that she is currently expecting her second child with husband Jason Kennedy, the "Family's Journey of Hope" author said she "cannot wait" to see their unborn baby.
The 34-year-old broke the exciting news via Instagram. Tagging her spouse, the pregnant mom shared a video that showed her husband holding up a positive pregnancy test while telling their son, "Peek a boo! You're gonna be a big brother."
Lauren began her caption by writing, "this was a major surprise and the sweetest plot twist." She added, "i cannot wait to watch little ryver be a big brother."
The post has since been flooded with positive feedback from many. Among them was Jason's former E! News co-host Giuliana Rancic, who exclaimed, "Love you all so much!!! So so so happy for your sweet beautiful family."
Kate Bosworth, meanwhile, raved, "CONGRATS could not have happened to two sweeter people xoxo." Taylor Lautner simply commented, "I can't wait."
Lauren and Jason got married in December 2014. The couple announced they were expecting their first child together in September 2021 after trying for almost five years.
Lauren herself has discussed her IVF process, insisting there was "no shame" in undergoing the treatment. "I'm committed to this journey, and it's a blessing, no matter what, because this could result in something so incredible," she said in an interview with PEOPLE.
"It's such an amazing method of enhancing your fertility and having a sweet baby come into the world," she continued sharing. "[I'm] really just trying to make the best of it by being grateful and flipping the script and just embracing it fully."
Lauren divulged that she was the result of an IVF herself. Calling it a "cool full-circle moment," she revealed, "My parents did it years ago. [They've] always been super open about it, so I feel like they've taught me with that as well."
