Amid craze for using the diabetic drug to lose some weight, some celebrities make use of their platform to publicly condemn the inappropriate usage of the drug.

AceShowbiz - Ozempic, which is typically used to treat diabetes, has become a hot topic in Hollywood when it comes to weight loss as some stars admitted to taking the drugs to lose some weight. As Semaglutide, the injectable drug sold under brand names like Ozempic and Wegovy, becomes popular as a weight-loss drug, it leads to a shortage that makes it difficult for people with type 2 diabetes to get it.

Weighing on the matter, some celebrities took to their social media and made use of their platform to call out people for misusing the drug. Some of them urged people to stop taking Ozempic to lose weight, while some others explained the "potential harm" of using diabetes medication for weight loss.

Once they get off of the drug, it does the rebound effect. So you're not gaining anything."

She continued, "You get off the drug in a year and go all the way back. You've not learned anything. You've not built any physical strength or endurance. You haven't learned how to eat healthy. The truth of the matter is, Ozempic has some pretty significant side effects. Do your homework on it. The results are not lasting, in very large part."

It's a now mainstream craze in Hollywood. HOPE this doesn't end the same way we were told opioids were safe. There is little to no discussion of the side effects in any advertising online.
