AceShowbiz - Reality TV star Bethenny Frankel has offered her support and guidance to Kim Kardashian in the midst of the ongoing controversy involving Kim's ex-husband Kanye West. Kanye stirred the pot by including their 11-year-old daughter, North West, in a new song tied to P. Diddy.
Kim was outraged when Kanye, 47, released the track, especially considering Diddy's current legal troubles. Kim, who has trademarked all her children's names, took legal measures to prevent the song's release and get it removed from X. In a heated text exchange with Kim, Kanye declared he would "go to war" over the matter.
Weighing in on the conflict, Frankel, a former member of "The Real Housewives of New York", shared her insights publicly via Instagram. Filming herself while preparing a meal, she addressed Kim directly, advising Kim not to contact Kanye directly.
"She should not be speaking to him at all," Frankel insisted, urging Kim to communicate with Kanye through a third party due to his unpredictable behavior.
Highlighting her own difficult divorce, which spanned nearly a decade despite a brief marriage, Frankel emphasized the importance of rational decision-making in custody battles.
Frankel told Kim to shift her focus from trademark concerns to the vital decisions affecting North's wellbeing. "If Kim has decision-making, then it's irrelevant whether or not she has the trademark for her daughter because in a best interest of a child matter, a judge doesn't care about trademarks as much," she explained.
Frankel drew from her personal experience, recounting how moving out and purchasing a new home, albeit financially challenging, were praised by legal authorities for creating a safe environment for her child. She stressed that in custody disputes, judges prioritize what's best for the child over technicalities like trademarks.
"A judge focused on custody matter is always focused on what is best for the child and even if their agreement says something otherwise, the judge is always going to err on the best interest of the child," she said.
This high-stakes family drama continues to unfold in the public eye, with both Kim and Kanye navigating the complex landscape of co-parenting under intense scrutiny. Frankel's heartfelt advice underscores the essential need for stability and sensible decision-making for the sake of their children.
