The rocker, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, also informs his loyal fans during a performance at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles that he's ready for 'a new chapter.'

AceShowbiz - Mod Sun couldn't be more grateful to have such a supportive fanbase. When performing at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, the "Karma" singer thanked his fans for "saving" his life following his split from Avril Lavigne.

"Ya'll f**king saved my goddamn life for the last six weeks," the 36-year-old told concertgoers at the April 2 show. "If any of y'all are going through some s**t right now, whether it be heartbreak, depression, addiction, anxiety, maybe you just have a negative voice in your head right now, I want you to know the one thing I have learned in the last almost four years: Do not be afraid to ask for help."

Mod Sun, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, went on to note that he's ready for "a new chapter." He said, "So, thank you for helping me. It's time for a new chapter."

Mod Sun and Avril broke up in February after a two-year relationship. While Mod Sun is currently single, his former fiancee has moved on with rapper Tyga.

Just a few weeks prior, the rocker's fans shouted "F**k Tyga" during a concert in New York City. In footage obtained by TMZ, Gym Class Heroes' frontman Travie McCoy dragged the emcee and shouted out, "F**k Tyga" while flashing his middle finger. It prompted the crowd to sing back the insult while pumping their fists in the air.

"I just wanted to give all the love I have in my heart right now to a brother, Mod Sun… I will say this, he is one of the three most loyal motherf**king I have ever met in my life," Travis declared. "F**k Tyga!"

As fans changed back the phrase, Mod Sun ran to the back of the stage and acted embarrassed by ducking behind a short barrier, before he emerged with a grin.
