Xscape Member Tamika Scott Reacts to Sister LaTocha's Tearful Apology

Tamika's comments arrive after LaTocha issues an apology to her groupmates after she's confronted over claims that her husband Rocky has been getting kickback from a promoter.

AceShowbiz - Xscape member Tamika Scott has responded to her sister LaTocha Scott's recent apology amid drama within the group. In a new interview, Tamika suggested that she's open to mend their relationship.

"You know what? I still haven't spoken to her. It's been a while, you know," Tamika told TMZ in New York City on Monday, April 3. "She changed her number. Yeah, she did and Tiny ([Tameka Cottle]) has it. So I will get it from Tiny and hopefully we can get together and just squash this, you know, this craziness that's going on right now."

Tamika continued, "Life is short for some people. And it's about, you know, loving each other, forgiving each other, embracing each other and nothing that someone has done so bad that you can't forgive them because if something was to happen to her or to myself, then we'll be both like it wouldn't be nice."

Tamika's comments arrived after LaTocha issued an apology to her groupmates after she was confronted over claims that her husband Rocky has been getting kickback from a promoter and she's involved in it. During an Instagram Live, LaTocha suggested that her argument with Da Brat in an episode of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show" might be a turning point to her.

"Yesterday I had an interview….and Da Brat and I had some words," LaTocha said. "I didn't understand why when she said to me 'that Kandi felt sad about you being the leader of the group. She felt sad.' I said, 'She felt sad?' That's the first time I ever heard this. It's news to me. Even in that, I have to take accountability."

She later addressed Kandi and apologized to "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star. "If I overlooked you, Kandi, I am sorry. I never wanted to do that. I never knew you were sad. I know what that sadness feels like, I really do. When we were in a group, I just wanted us to sing and be successful," she said. "I'm 17, 18-years- old, so what do I know? I'm sorry if I made you feel sad. That was never my intention."

LaTocha then apologized to Tiny. "To Tiny, who I consider my friend, I think of you as family…You are the one who always tried to bring things together for us. I kind of alienated myself from you because I was trying to figure out everything….We're like sisters and I didn't talk to my sister. Maybe you could've shed light on some things that I probably needed to hear," she noted.

Lastly, she shared a message to her sister Tamika. "To my sister, Tamika, everybody knows that my family is everything to me. Everything!" she divulged. "I've been reaching out to you and I'm praying that things get better. This is not me coming on here trying to make somebody look bad or nothing. I'm speaking from my heart. Mama didn't raise us this way."

She also claimed that she didn't know anything about the allegations that her husband received 30K from a promoter in return to making the group perform at the promoter's event. "For me and my sister, we gon' get it together. I'm reaching out. I don't have the answers. I found out about a $30,000 allegation when I watched TV with y'all," LaTocha said. "Did I take my sister's money? I did not."

Fans, however, didn't seem to buy LaTocha's words. "How did she find out about the $30,000 from TV with us when she was there when it was filmed?" one Twitter user asked. "She found out about the 30K when she watched with us......SHE WAS IN THE SCENE WHEN IT WAS REVEALED," someone else similarly wrote.

Accusing LaTocha of lying, one fan added, "Tocha STILL lying... she STILL talking about she ain't know till we knew. So she thinks we believe in Tamika kept quiet about this money for 10 plus years. Also, the mama already said to Tamika 'you don't know what she going through.' "
