AceShowbiz - Cher is seemingly head over heels in love with Alexander "AE" Edwards that she cannot think straight. Rumor has it that the singer has been splurging on her boy toy and it has concerned her friends.
Sources close to the situation tell Radar Online that the 76-year-old diva has always been careful with her estimated $360 million bank account, but she has thrown caution to the wind since she started dating the 37-year-old music exec last fall. She is reportedly funding the couple's extravagant lifestyle.
"Cher's letting her boyfriend pull all the strings," one of the sources says. "It's all about what AE and what he wants. She's been sucked into his lifestyle of parties, late nights, and drinking, and she's neglecting her friends - mainly because they're horrified over her behavior."
"Cher's splurging on gifts for her man and when he sees something he likes or wants to purchase, Cher's Amex comes out," the source further spills. "She likes dressing him up in the best clothes. She pays for dinner and limos too."
Stressing Cher's friends' worry, the source notes, "But all this expense adds up and it's burning a hole through her bank account." A so-called insider adds, "Cher's still a wealthy woman with hundreds of millions to her name, but even rich celebs can go broke if they don't manager their money wisely. And the fear is that could happen to Cher. She used to be a penny-pitcher, but she's thrown all care out the window."
Despite their alleged lavish lifestyle, Cher and AE's relationship isn't all about having fun. The Goddess of Pop recently announced that she's working on a new album with her music executive boyfriend. "I'm going to England to make two albums. Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I'm pretty excited about that. He's a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I'm happy," she told E! News on Monday, March 6.
In addition to the forthcoming project, Cher informed the outlet that she plans to tour later this year. "I'm trying to get myself in shape," she shared. "I think like any artist when you've got something good, you're excited."
