AceShowbiz - Cher is blending her personal and professional life. The "Believe" songstress, who has been dating Alexander "AE" Edwards for months, revealed that they're working on new music together and she's excited about it.
The 76-year-old broke the news on Monday, March 6. When speaking to E! News, she divulged, "I'm going to England to make two albums. Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I'm pretty excited about that. He's a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I'm happy."
In addition to the forthcoming projects, Cher informed the outlet that she plans to tour later this year. "I'm trying to get myself in shape," she shared. "I think like any artist when you've got something good, you're excited."
Cher and AE began dating in November 2022 after they met at Paris Fashion Week. People were not impressed upon learning of their 40-year age gap, but the "'Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" singer has defended their relationship several times.
"On paper, it's kind of ridiculous," the singer said during her appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show". "But in real life, we get along great. He's fabulous. And I don't give men qualities that they don't deserve."
Cher even gushed over her boyfriend, saying that AE is "very kind, very smart, he's very talented, and he's really funny." She further said of her 36-year-old beau, "And I think he's quite handsome."
In February, sources told Radar Online that Cher is at war with sons Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman because they accused AE of being a gold digger. It's said Chaz and Elijah are worried about the pair's romance because "they think he's playing her to cash in on her power and influence in the music."
However, "Cher doesn't believe her sons should be counting her cash," the so-called insider spilled. "If that's their primary focus, they can kiss the entire pile goodbye." Cher reportedly unloaded over the Christmas holidays, blasting her kids for being more concerned about her money than her happiness.
