AceShowbiz - Rihanna did shine bright during her Super Bowl LVII halftime show on Sunday, February 12. The "Umbrella" hitmaker's performance at the State Farm Stadium during a game between Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles was reported to reach a total of 118.7 million viewers.

The number officially made the Fenty Cosmetics founder's performance the second most-watched Super Bowl halftime show of all time. Katy Perry still holds the title for the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show of all time after garnering an average 121 million of viewers back in 2015.

Rihanna kicked off her highly-anticipated performance, during which she announced her second pregnancy, by standing on a high platform while belting out "B***h Better Have My Money". Wearing a baggy scarlet jumpsuit that covered up her curves and was strapped loosely on her, RiRi delivered epic performances of her other hits including "Where Have You Been", "Only Girl (In The World)" and "We Found Love".

The singer, who is already a parent of a baby boy with A$AP Rocky, was later also joined by some backing dancers for an energetic performance of "Rude Boy". Also included in her set list were "Work", "Wild Thoughts" and "Pour It Up".

Not stopping there, Rihanna's 13-minute show out-performed the Super Bowl itself. According to Nielsen, FOX's telecast of Super Bowl LVII brought in an average 113 million viewers.

It's still an impressive number as it makes it the third biggest television program of all time. Prior to this, the only telecasts to ever draw a bigger audience than the 2023 Super Bowl were the 2015 Super Bowl featuring Patriots-Seahawks game (114.4 million) and the 2017 Super Bowl featuring Patriots going against Falcons (113.7 million).

During the 2023 Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 38-35 comeback win over Eagles, claiming the team's second championship in four years. As for Mahomes, he earned Super Bowl MVP honors after going 21-of-27 for 182 yards and throwing three touchdowns that night.
