AceShowbiz - Patrick Mahomes has scored his second Super Bowl win with the Kansas City Chiefs. The 27-year-old quarterback was running with joy to celebrate the victory with his teammates after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 on Sunday, February 12.

It was Patrick's second Super Bowl win and the third for the team in history. He was named Super Bowl MVP, his second after scoring the title at Super Bowl LIV. He's also the first player since 1999 to hold the title for NFL MVP and Super Bowl in the same year.

The Eagles took the lead in the first half of the game, which took place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with 24-14 after late field goal. Patrick, meanwhile, gave the Chiefs fans a scare after he left the field hurt in the second quarter.

He appeared to re-injure his ankle after his right ankle got locked in the turf as he was tackled by Eagles' T.J. Edwards with 1:44 left in the second quarter. The All-Pro quarterback lay on the field grimacing in pain and limped his way to the sideline.

Patrick, however, was able to be back to the field following the halftime show by Rihanna. He led the Chiefs on a touchdown drive to start the second half, which included a low pass to tight end Travis Kelce that kept their drive alive. Patrick finished 21 of 27 for 182 yards with three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts scored a personal feat as he scored 3 rushing touchdowns, the most by a quarterback in Super Bowl history. He also tied a Super Bowl record for most points scored in the game.

With the 2022 season officially over, the 2023 season will again begin in Kansas City in September.
