According to ESPN, the 4-time NBA champion is expected to miss 'a few weeks' after suffering a shoulder injury in a loss to the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, December 14.

AceShowbiz - Golden State Warriors seemingly will be playing without Stephen Curry (II) for some time. According to ESPN, the NBA star is expected to miss "a few weeks" after suffering a shoulder injury in a loss to the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, December 14.

The Warriors announced on Thursday that Curry suffered a left shoulder subluxation. As it did not provide a timeline for his return, it's said that the team will reevaluate their star point guard in two weeks.

The injury took place when the 4-time NBA champion attempted a steal against Pacers player Jalen Smith by reaching out his left arm. Curry was later seen clutching his shoulder. He called a time out before leaving the floor and heading straight to the locker room. The Warriors player was officially ruled out of the game in the fourth quarter.

Curry finished Wednesday's game with 38 points, nearly half of the Warriors' 80 points at the time of his injury, on 11-of-19 shooting. That included five 3s and a perfect 11 of 11 from the free throw line. For the season, he's averaging 30.0 points and 6.8 assists while shooting 50% from the field and 43.4% from 3.

MRI testing was scheduled for Thursday to determine the severity of the injury. "I have no idea how long he'll be out, I'm just relieved that it was not more serious and that he will be back," coach Steve Kerr said in a radio interview with 95.7 The Game on Thursday.

"The good news is ... Steph will be back with lots of season left," Kerr told 95.7 The Game. "It doesn't feel like anybody is running away with the West and as long as we can just stay within striking range we feel good about our team when we're healthy."

Amid his absence, it was likely for Jordan Poole to take over as point guard. Meanwhile, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and others will be asked to step up. The Warriors are 0-3 this season without Curry.
