AceShowbiz - Keri Hilson is giving her two cents on Megan Thee Stallion's ex-BFF Kelsey Nicole Harris' wild court testimony. The "Knock You Down" songstress believes that Kelsey took the hush money allegedly offered by Tory Lanez as she backtracked on her previous claim.
On Wednesday, December 14, the 40-year-old singer wrote via Instagram, "It's giving she took the money Tory allegedly offered Megan to keep quiet [shh emoji]." She went on explaining, "I know she & Megan fell out, but after reading her testimony transcripts, it was obvious (and strange) that she didn't even wanna defend herself from Defense's implications. It's giving 'guilt of betrayal' and hush money to me."
During the third day of the shooting trial in Los Angeles court, prosecutor Kathy Ta asked Kelsey if Tory had threatened to shoot her. However, she refused to answer questions by taking the Fifth. Previously, she testified that Tory threatened to shoot her.
Later, Kelsey testified that Megan was "acting out and drunk" at the party, which was held at Kylie Jenner's house on July 12, 2020. Kelsey also addressed accusations that she shot the Houston Hottie, calling the theory "ridiculous."
Elsewhere during the testimony at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, Kelsey asked for immunity. It was granted even after the District Attorney swore they had no intent to prosecute her. Kelsey spent a little less than 40 minutes on the stand, saying a lot of her memory of the party was "blurry" because of alcohol consumption.
The trial over the shooting incident involving Megan and Tory began on Monday, December 12. Tory, born Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson, is facing three felony counts and could face up to 23 years in prison if convicted.
In the last two days, Tory, through his legal team, has denied being the one to pull the trigger at the time. Megan also testified in court on Tuesday, detailing the night in question from her perspective. Meg also explained why she lied to the police directly after the incident, telling them she stepped on glass, not that she was shot in the foot.
"I'm in shock. I'm scared. I hear the gun going off, and I can't believe he's shooting at me," the Hot Girl Meg said, "At the time, we are at the height of police brutality. I felt like if I said this man has just shot me, they might shoot first and ask questions later. I don't feel safe with the police officers. In the black community, it's not really acceptable to be cooperating with police officers."
Through tears, Megan described the effect that the whole ordeal has had on her. "I can't even be happy," she confessed. The "Savage" raptress even said that at her lowest, she wishes Tory "would have just shot and killed me if I knew I had to go through this torture."
Under the oath, Megan confirmed that she had an intimate relationship with Tory, but admitted that hooking up with someone who allegedly shot her left her feeling "embarrassed." She added, "Tory came out and told so many different lies, about me not being shot, about him not being the shooter, and making this all about a sex scandal."
