Melanie Martin shares photos of the late 'I Want Candy' singer with their first child to mark the baby boy's first birthday, nearly three weeks after Aaron's tragic passing.

AceShowbiz - The first birthday of Aaron Carter and Melanie Martin's son Prince was a bittersweet one for the newly single mom. Melanie called it a "tough one" as she celebrated their only child's milestone just weeks after the singer's passing.
Marking Prince's special day, Melanie posted on her Instagram page on Tuesday, November 22 a clip of family photos featuring Aaron and their baby boy from the moment he was born and in the months that followed.
"Happy birthday to my baby boy Prince Lyric Carter," she wrote in the caption. "Today is going to be a tough one for me but I know your daddy is playing birthday songs for you up in heaven I love you baby boy!!!"
Melanie also shared a video of a billboard in New York City's Times Square which displayed a photo of Aaron and their son Prince to wish the boy a happy birthday. "Happy Birthday Prince! Words can't explain how I feel rn thank you for all the love and support," she captioned it.
"I ask everyone to keep a positive attitude take a moment light a candle and play your favorite song by Aaron Carter!" she went on honoring her fiance. "We all appreciate you so much! From @missmelaniemartin @mattykevs @checkthestar and the supporters! happy first birthday!"
Prince has since been showered with well wishes from Melanie's followers. One of them was Khloe Kardashian who simply wrote, "Happy birthday Prince." Singer Kaya Jones also commented on Melanie's post, "Happy birthday Prince."
Brazilian model Erika Gray penned, "Happy birthday to your babyboy! God bless you & your family! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE PRINCE . GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS LITTLE BUDDY. WE LOVE YOU!"
Aaron was found dead in a bathtub of his home in Lancaster, California on November 5 by a housekeeper. He was cremated a few days later on November 9. His ashes are being held by his twin sister Angel. He was only 34 years old. Aaron and Melanie, who had a tumultuous relationship, were reportedly battling over the custody of their son at the time of his passing.
