The speculations started after footage of the Chicago rapper and the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" hitmaker having dinner together hit the web. In the video, Durk was seen sitting next to Mariah as they smiled for the cameras.
During the outing, the two were joined by Mariah's boyfriend Bryan Tanaka. Fashion designer Mike Amiri's wife, Shirin Amiri, was also present.
In response to the unlikely get-together, one Twitter user joked, "The f**k was Durk and Mariah Carey doing at dinner together [laughing emojis] see n***as get left by they b***h and just [f**k with] anybody… somebody go check on him." Someone else commented, "Sooo lil Durk and Mariah Carey hanging out and at dinner and s**t. Random as f**k."
"Lil Durk chilling with Mariah Carey .. yea bro officially made it made it," another person added. Feeling excited for the rumored collab, one fan wrote, "Well if Lil Durk breaks Mariah Carey's heart we finna get some bomb a** songs from both of them."
Another comment read, "Lil Durk and Mariah Christmas Carey linked up...that's interesting." One user added, "What's up with these rappers getting these cougar r&b singers first it was [Kodak Black] and Monica now it's Durk & Mariah Carey."
A fan of Mariah, meanwhile, slammed those who suggested that "Mariah Carey begged Durk for a feature." The person fumed, "B***h THEE Mariah Carey ain't begging for s**t. These lil rappers couldn't even hold her purse. Who raised y'all Stop it!"
As of now fans have to keep wondering as neither Mariah nor Durk has addressed the shocking outing.
