When celebrating her son's 2nd birthday, the "Super Bass" hitmaker turned to her Instagram Story to share a clip of her husband Kenneth Petty carrying the birthday boy on his shoulder. The 39-year-old proud mom then baby-talked to her adorable child as saying, "Hi, Jacob, hi."
Nicki later panned the camera to Papa Bear, who could be seen wearing a brown T-shirt with a matching cap and holding a pink cup of ice cream. Upon seeing the beaming little boy, the Grammy-winning rap star giggled. "What are you doin'?" she asked her kid.
The clip, which was shared on Twitter, got a bunch of Barbz's reactions as they're debating whether Nicki was saying "Jacob," "Jake" or "Jaka." One person insisted, "his name is jacob. y'all acting like ya can't hear." A second added, "Literally she said Jacob before she stopped herself."
A different Twitter user argued, "I thought she said jake?" Someone else chimed in, " 'Jaka' ajsbdjdndkdndldkd definitely don't here not B at the end."
Others, in the meantime, suggested that Barbz should respect Nicki's privacy, with one saying, "You all fans do way too much…. There's absolute reason for her not to put her son's name out there but here y'all go post and saying all sorts of….smh respect her privacy." Another echoed, "It sounds like she didn't mean to say it either, still gunna refer to him as Papa Bear until Nicki feels comfortable with confirming his name."
More recently, Nicki threw a minion-themed birthday party for Papa Bear. Offering a closer look at the bash, the "Super Freaky Girl" raptress posted a series of family photos on Instagram.
In the snapshots, Nicki posed alongside her husband Kenneth and the adorable birthday boy. In the caption, she sweetly expressed how happy she's being his mom. "On 9/30/22 you turned 2," she began. "#PapaBear, your Dad & I love you so much. You make us so happy. You're perfect. Thank you for giving mama new meaning to life. God cover you. Always."
