The new King of England is caught on camera losing his temper when his hand gets smeared by ink from an inadequate pen during a signing ceremony in Northern Ireland.

AceShowbiz - It seemingly has been a stressful week for King Charles III in the wake of his mother Queen Elizabeth II's passing, so much that a small object like pen could get him testy. The new King of U.K. has been caught losing his temper over a leaky pen.

The incident that was filmed on camera took place while he was visiting the royal residence of Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland on Tuesday, September 13. During a signing ceremony, he was seen asking the date, admitting that he wrote the incorrect date, scribbling September 12 instead of the 13th, before passing the pen to his wife, Queen Consort Camilla.

Noticing the ink on his finger, Charles mumbled to himself, "Oh god, I hate this," before his wife calmly remarked, "Oh look, it's going everywhere, hang on." As he got up from the chair, Charles quickly wiped the ink from his finger with handkerchief while he appeared to grow more frustrated.

As an aide replaced the pen and handed over a new one to Camilla, Charles continued fuming in the background. "I can't bear this bloody thing! What they do, every stinking time," he said, before storming off the room with another aide accompanying him.

After the video went viral, some social media users couldn't help mocking the King for throwing tantrum over a pen. "I manage to use an inadequate pen quite frequently without throwing a little tantrum that requires several of my little employees to manage," one Twitter user wrote.

Another claimed, "King Charles cannot even put toothpaste on his toothbrush." A third critic sarcastically said, "Yeah It's the pen's fault."

Some people, however, were more understanding, with one saying, "No privacy to vent frustration with cameras in every nook and cranny." The same user quipped, "Time for a series of exclusive 'C-III-R' pens. Good business potential to cash in on!"

Another sympathizing user wrote, "I think he is totally exhausted and grieving. I don't usually excuse such behavior but when I opened an inkjet printer package recently and the ink leaked over me, paper, printer, clothes I was just as unamused and I was not tired, nor had I just lost my mother, and become CIII."

A third supporter added, "Aww His mum has just died and he's not had a moment to just grieve. Cut the man some slack." Someone else remarked, "He's not even aware of the date and clearly flustered. It's been a hell of a few days."

Just three days earlier, Charles had another incident with pen. The King was filmed angrily gesturing to have royal aides clear the desk where he was about to sign the Accession Proclamation, which officially made him the monarch of the U.K. and Commonwealth following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth.

In the clip, the father of Prince William moved an inkwell before gesturing at an aide to remove a tray of pens so he would have room to sign an enormous document. Both objects were reportedly presents from his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
