AceShowbiz - As Amber Heard's career is currently in downward spiral, she may learn who her true friend is. The actress has reportedly been "ghosted" by her famous pals as she's sought help to pay off her ex-husband Johnny Depp following her loss in the defamation lawsuit.
A source close to the 36-year-old told Geo News, "Amber has approached several of her fellow partygoers in the hope that they will help her with a place to stay, but she has been rebuffed and, in many cases, completely 'ghosted.' "
Amber was sued by Johnny over her December 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post in which she detailed her experience as an abuse victim. On June 1, the jury found her guilty of defaming her ex-husband. She was ordered to pay him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, though the court reduced the punitive damages to $350,000 due to state law limit.
Amber has been struggling to rebuild her career in the wake of the verdict. She has not starred in any new movies since the defamation trial, but she has reportedly received a $9 million offer from Zen Models to star in an X-rated movie. The contract is reported to be worth $8 millions and includes an additional $1 million donation to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
Most recently, leaked emails appeared to confirm that Amber fabricated some evidence her team presented in the trial. In a series of leaked emails, an apparent insider from her party admitted that the actress "is guilty" but an entire PR firm has been employed to help "discredit" the verdict against her in the defamation case.
The team allegedly intended to "twist" the facts involved in the case and tried to discredit Johnny in an attempt to win back favor for Amber. "I heard the audios of Amber confessing to assaulting Johnny and of course her bruised photos are fake," the source went on to claim.
