AceShowbiz - "Aquaman" star Amber Heard is overjoyed to be expanding her family. A spokesperson for Heard confirmed to PEOPLE that she is expecting her second child.
"It is still quite early in the pregnancy, so you will appreciate that we do not want to go into much detail at this stage," the spokesperson stated. "Suffice to say that Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige."
Heard welcomed her first child, Oonagh Paige, via surrogacy in April 2021. In a heartfelt Instagram post announcing her daughter's arrival, Heard shared that she had "wanted to have a child" for four years and that she wanted to do it on her "own terms."
"I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way," she wrote. "I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib."
Since becoming a mother, Heard has shared glimpses of her life with Oonagh on social media. In January 2023, she posted a heartwarming photo of herself bottle-feeding her daughter on the set of "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom".
The news of Heard's pregnancy comes after a highly publicized legal battle with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. In her 2022 interview with Savannah Guthrie, Heard shared that she was eager to focus on her family after the trial. "I get to be a mom, like, full time, you know? Where I'm not having to juggle calls with lawyers," she said.
Heard is renowned for her role as Atlantean queen Mera in the "Aquaman" franchise. She has also appeared in films such as "The Rum Diary", "Zombieland", and "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane".
