Nick Cannon continued to make people confused with his love life. Just days after declaring that he's open to rekindling his romance with Mariah Carey, "The Masked Singer" host hinted that he has proposed to a mystery woman.
On Thursday night, July 14, the 41-year-old shared on Instagram a photo of him and his unnamed lady sharing a hug. He followed it up with a close-up picture of him opening a box with a massive diamond ring inside.
In the caption of the post, the "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out" host wrote, I said I would never do it again." He added, "But...Finally doing what the world wants me to do," along with a ring emoji.
Nick's Instagram followers were left baffled by the pictures. Others, however, believed that the photos were taken during the filming of the rapper/comedian's new music video.
The post arrived after he admitted that he would love to get back together with his ex-wife Mariah, with whom he shares two children. During an appearance on "The Hottee Talk Show", he said, "It was literally like a fairytale with Mariah so I would rather it just be that way.
"And I appreciate that fantasy because if I try to go back and it wasn't the same, I'd be like, 'Damn, I messed it up.' " the TV personality continued. "But, if I had the opportunity, if it could be the way it was, I'm there."
Calling the 53-year-old singer his "fantasy love," the emcee admitted that he would never have a love as he did with Mariah. "I guess because I'm a true romantic, I'm a true believer in love and I allow the capsules of love to be where they lie," he elaborated. "I'm not a timeline dude. I will never have a love like I did with Mariah."
Nick and Mariah got married in 2008 and welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe in April 2011. The pair split in 2014 and their divorce was finalized in 2016. He has since fathered five other children with three different women. Nick himself is currently expecting a baby boy with model Bre Tiesi and a ninth child with DJ Abby De La Rosa, who also gave birth to his fifth and sixth kids, twins Zion and Zillion.
