AceShowbiz - Rita Ora and Taika Waititi are hearing wedding bells. If a new report is to be believed, the "For You" singer and the "Thor: Love and Thunder" director have got engaged after they made almost "simultaneous" wedding proposals to each other.

Revealing the engagement news was The Sun. The British tabloid additionally reported that the lovebirds are "preparing a low-key wedding in London before throwing a glitzy celebration later."

"This isn't about them doing a big showy thing and crowing about it beforehand. It's just about them being in love and deciding the time is right to formalise their relationship," a source told the outlet. "They couldn't be happier."

Rita and Taika have yet to confirm the report.

The couple was first linked romantically after "The Voice Australia" judge shared a photo of the them cuddling up together in April 2021. The twosome made their romance red carpet official later in August when attending the premiere of "The Suicide Squad".

Rita, who has reportedly introduced Taika to her parents in London, doesn't talk much about their relationship. The "Fifty Shades Freed" actress once said in an interview, "I'm in a great place in my life, that's all I'm going to say about that… I just think, respectfully, privacy is important. Yeah... I learned a lot in my 20s."

However, when celebrating Valentine's Day this year, Rita made an exception by posting a loving tribute to the filmmaker. Making use of Instagram, she unleashed several photos of her and Taika together and captioned the post, "Us. 4 years ago. To now. thanks for being cool. And entertaining me forevs..Happy Valentine's Day bestie."

Taika himself offered his dedication on his own page. "First photo the night we met four years ago. We've been mates ever since. Then a year ago we decided to "complicate" things but it just got easier. Happy Valentines Day to my bestie @ritaora," he penned.
