The 'Aquaman' actress reportedly spends at least $120 an hour per guard from the security firm, staffed by former military and government officials, as she seeks extra protection.

AceShowbiz - Amber Heard seemingly wants extra protection as threats during Johnny Depp trial rise. If a report is to be believed, the "Aquaman" actress has hired an elite security firm amid disturbing threats made by the "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" actor's fans.

The New York Post reported on Tuesday, April 26 that the 36-year-old actress is spending at least $120 an hour per guard. According to a memo obtained by the outlet, the guards consist of former military and government officials.

The so-called insider went on to spill that the security firm is currently monitoring "lone-wolf supporters trying to gain access to the [Fairfax] County Circuit Courthouse grounds, vehicles, or entrance to the facility." The high-profile company has stationed personnel on the grounds of the Fairfax, Virginia courthouse. "Don't be predictable or complacent," the security firm warned in the memo.

In the video and images obtained by the firm, spectators could be seen chasing vehicles carrying Amber and her team home from the courthouse. The memo suggested that guards devise circuitous routes to ensure "The Rum Diary" actress could get to her temporary residence safely.

Amber, along with her legal team, has been receiving disturbing threats on social media. Even hashtag #JusticeForJohnnyDepp became a trending topic on Twitter when the 58-year-old actor took the stand.

"Who wants to join me in my expedition to brutally murder Amber Heard," one Twitter user wrote. Another chimed in, "Morality question: Is it OK to kill and eat Amber Heard's lawyer, since she'll probably brutally kill him herself?"

A separate person tweeted, "#AmberHeard you big boggle head butch I'm coming for you when you get outta court h*e you lying a** big faced butched it's up." Someone else penned, "I have the ability to kill Amber Heard."

In 2018, Johnny sued Amber after she defamed him when she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed. Though he wasn't named in the essay, he claimed that the op-ed clearly referenced him and later ruined his career, damaged his reputation and cost him millions of dollars.

Amber herself has accused Johnny of domestic violence since their separation. For his part, Johnny insisted he never struck Amber or any woman in his life. In his own testimony, he alleged that Amber would instigate fights with him and was the one who got violent during their arguments.

Johnny also said his former spouse would "strike out" at him in "her frustration and in her rage." He further explained, "It could begin with a slap, it could begin with a shove, it could begin with throwing a TV remote at my head..." and that her behavior became "constant" during their arguments.
