The younger daughter of former President Barack Obama is revealed to be in a relationship with 24-year-old Clifton Powell Jr., a former college basketball star who is now a writer and director.

AceShowbiz - There is a reason why Sasha Obama looks exceptionally happy these days. The daughter of former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama is dating and the identity of her boyfriend has been revealed.

Sasha is reported to be in a relationship with actor Clifton Powell's son, Clifton Powell Jr. As seen in pictures obtained by Daily Mail, the 20-year-old looked cheerful when stepping out with her new man.

In the images, Sasha flashed a smile as she walked side-by-side with Clifton. The former First Daughter flashed her tummy in a purple crop tank top with a bohemian skirt in matching color. It isn't clear when the photos were taken, but the site also obtained a photo of the pair snuggling up.

Sasha is believed to have gotten together with Clifton after she moved to Los Angeles last August. She dropped her studies at the University of Michigan and transferred to study at USC.

According to the site, Clifton is a former college basketball star who now works as a commercial director creating content for Nike and Peloton. The 24-year-old was a close friend of Ian Alexander Jr., the only son of his father's "Ray" co-star Regina King, who tragically took his own life in January aged just 25.

Earlier this week, Michelle gave an update on her daughters who have moved away from home. She said in a Tuesday, April 19 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that Sasha and Malia are not only "doing well" on their own, but are also "just amazing young women" in general.

The former First Lady also revealed that both of her daughters are currently dating. "They loved the Jonas Brothers. Now they are bringing grown men home," the "Becoming" author marveled. "Before it was just, like, pop bands. Now they have boyfriends and real lives."
